Date: 19th August 2018
Sunday 19th August 2018. Meeting at 0830 at the car park to the rear of the Spean Bridge Woolen Mill, PH34 4EP before driving out to the start of the walk which is up a rough track from Corriechoille Farm.
This is a level 3 walk, 21km long and will take between 8 and 10 hours to complete.
After leaving the vehicles in the layby on the forestry track, we will start with the steep climb up to Stob Choire Claurigh with it's short scramble onto the summit before traversing the ridge south west taking in Stob Coire an Laoigh then making the short crossing to Stob Coire Easain.
There's very little ascent\descent when up on the ridge and it's really just a case of enjoying the views and pacing yourself for the distance. From Stob Coire Easain it's out and back to the outlier Sgurr Choinnich Mor, which has a relatively low bealach and steep sides meaning some hands on my be needed, before dropping off the ridge into the trees and returning to the car.
There are a number of B&B's and a Hotel in Spean Bridge or a large variety of accommodation in nearby Fort William including Hostels, B&B and Hotels. Buses and trains are frequent from the Central Belt to Fort William. If you're booking into the SYHA premises in Glen Nevis, use my code King-18 for 10% discount.
Cost is only £35 per person (maximum group size is 8)
