Date: 19th May 2018
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May 2018 will be spent in the magical area of Torridon.
These will be level 3 walks where some grade 1 and grade 2 scrambling may be involved, with exposure, (depending on the hills walked) in amongst the Torridon giants. You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness for this walk and a head for heights and exposure.
We will tackle some of the iconic peaks of the area and depending on the weather, will look at Liathach (Scotland's finest mountain?), Beinn Alligin, Ben Eighe, Slioch, Moruisg, Beinn Liath Mhor and Sgorr Ruadh.
Choice of accommodation is yours. Hotel at www.thetorridon.com/inn a free campsite is available beside the Youth Hostel which also has access to free toulets and showers (donations are welcomed) www.syha.org.uk (use my discount code King-18 for 10% off) or local B&B including www.tighloran.co.uk
We will meet at 0900 in the car park outside the Torridon Visitor Centre (opposite the campsite) each morning to begin the walk unless otherwise agreed. If the weather means group safety on these rugged and unforgiving mountains will be compromised, alternative walks will be arranged.
Ideally we would organise car share in advance to minimise our environmental impact.
Cost is only £100 per person (maximum group size is 14 with two guides) Book early to avoid disappointment. These weekends are usually extremely popular.
