Date: 1st June 2019
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2019
Based in the Ullapool area we will tackle what many believe to be the grandest of all UK mountains, An Teallach. This is an 18 km day which will take between 8 and 10 hours to complete on Level 4 terrain with exposure and sustained scrambling.
Our second day will see us tackle the four Munros of the Beinn Dearg circuit. This is a 27 km traverse of the four Munros Cona Mheall, Meall nan Ceapraichean, Eididh nan Geala and Beinn Dearg itself. This circuit will take between 9 and 12 hours to complete and is a Level 4 walk due to the distance.
We will decide on the order of these two days when we know the likely weather forecast, with An Teallach being our main objective. We want to save the best weather possible for this amazing day.
We will meet at 0830 in the large car park on the A835 at the Braemore junction with the A832 on Saturday 1st June 2019 before heading to our chosen hill, depending on the weather.
There are several Hotels and B&B's in Ullapool along with a SYHA where you can get a 10% discount if you book with my code King-18.
Ullapool is served by Citylink buses from Edinburgh and Glasgow via Inverness.
Ideally we would organise car share in advance to minimise our environmental impact.
Cost is only £100 per person (maximum group size is 6) Book early to avoid disappointment.
