Date: 5th July 2019
Friday 5th July 2019. This is a level 4 walk with sustained, exposed, Grade 2 scrambling across about 1 km of ridge. The entire day will take between 7 and 10 hours to complete. Before tackling this route, it is recommended that you have experience of other ridge walks and be comfortable with exposure.
Possibly the narrowest ridge on the UK mainland and definitely a day to remember traversing high above Glen Coe on the crazy pinnacles. The two Munros of Sgorr nam Fiannaidh and Meall Dearg are taken in en-route.
We will meet at 0830 at the car park of the Clachaig Inn, Glencoe, PH49 4HX before placing a vehicle at the finish point and then driving to the start at Allt-na-Ruigh
In the event of inclement weather where safety is compromised, an alternative scramble in Glen Coe will be substituted.
There are a large variety of accommodation options available in nearby Glencoe with the www.clachaig.com nearby www.redsquirrelcampsite.co.uk as well as B7B's, private Hostel www.glencoehostel.co.uk and the SYHA where you can use my code King-19 for 10% discount.
Cost of this days scrambling is £75 per person (maximum group size 3)
