Date: 11th August 2019
Sunday 11th August 2019, meeting at 0800 at Linn of Dee
This is a level 4 walk, fairly easy ground on mainly good, well maintained paths with a total distance of about 34 km and 1,300m of ascent which should take between 9 and 11 hours to complete. Good stamina and being able to complete the distance are important for this long day.
From the Linn of Dee car park this is a fine walk along excellent paths passed Derry Lodge into the central Cairngorms and up onto the long ridge that is Carn a'Mhaim. From here we walk along the ridge and up onto Ben Macdui before walking down to the beautiful Loch Etchachan then returning over Derry Cairngorm, taking us up to three Munros for the day.
We will meet in the Linn of Dee car park, Braemar, AB35 5YB at 0800 to begin this walk.
Braemar is well served with Hotels, B&B's and camping. There is also a youth hostel where you can get 10% off your stay by using my discount code, King-19
Cost is only £35 per person (maximum group size is 10)
