Date: 29th September 2018
Saturday 29th September 2018 starting at 0830
This is a level 4 walk of about 30 km that will take between 8 and 10 hours to complete. The three Munros in this linear walk are A'Bhuidheanach Beag, Carn a'Caim and the outlier Meall Chuaich (usually tackled on it's own)
The Munro summits are fairly featureless lumps making this a relatively straightforward wander in good visibility. It can be more challenging to navigate in low cloud and mist, with few landmarks. There's also no path across the plateau to Meall Chuaich from this direction.
We will meet at the car park at Balsporran Cottages, PH19 1AF, which are on the main A9 trunk road and can be accessed by bus and train (stop at Dalwhinnie) from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Car sharing is encouraged wherever possible. From here, vehicles permitting, we will position a car at the end of the walk before all heading off to the start point.
Balsporran Cottages offer B&B www.balsporran.com and there are other options in nearby Dalwhinnie, including B&B at http://www.2stationcottage.co.uk
Cost is only £35 per person (maximum group size is 8)
