Date: 3rd March 2019
Sunday 3rd March 2019 an introduction to trail running in the Lomond Hills, Fife with Allan Harley.
Are you looking to branch out with your running and get out into the hills at the same time? This run around the trails of Falkland Estate could be just what you’re looking for! We'll meet at the Duck Pond in Falkland, where Allan will give some up to date information surrounding nutrition and hydration. He'll also have samples of the food and drink he uses, which you are welcome to try.
Afterwards, we'll head out onto the trails of the Falkland Estate on a weather dependent route, navigating our way through trees and gorges.
This will be an easy paced run with the emphasis on learning, rather than speed or distance.
The run will be led by Allan, an experienced hill, trail and ultra runner, triathlete and Gym Instructor. You’ll receive tips about technique, navigation, hydration and nutrition.
Further runs and training sessions can be discussed on an individual basis to meet your ongoing needs.
Meet us at 0930 on Sunday 3rd March 2019 in the car park at The Duck Pond, The Stables, Falkland Estate, Falkland, Fife, KY15 7AF. Bring your usual trail running kit, including full body cover, snacks and drinks and a rucksack or running vest to carry them.
We'll finish of in the local cafe for a blether. We should be finished by around 1230 or so.
