Date: 13th October 2018
Saturday 13th October 2018 starting at 0830 from the car park at the end of the road to Fersit.
This is a level 3 walk of about 17 km with approximately 1200m of ascent taking in the two Munros of Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin and Stob Coire Easain which border the west side of Loch Treig.
The walk begins on the track leading into the dam at Loch Treig but soon we are climbing steeply on boggy ground to reach the zig-zag walk up Meall Cian Dearg. The ridge now appears ahead and we follow this up to the first summit then further, onto the second. Given the weather, the views out to Blackwater, The Grey Corries and beyond are well worth the effort. Return is by the same route.
We will meet at 0830 in the car park at the end of the Fersit road. The address for your sat nav is, Tulloch, Roy Bridge, PH31 4AR. Look out for the Fersit signpost on the A86 just past the Laggan Dam if coming East.
Previous clients have stayed at the nearby Hostel at Tulloch www.stationlodge.co.uk or in Roybridge which has Hotels and B&B. www.roybridgehotel.co.uk www.stronlossit.co.uk
